Discovering Your Assignment and Staying Focused

Discovering Your Assignment and Staying Focused

In today’s digital age, it’s easy to get lost in the endless scroll of social media.

Six months ago, I decided to take control of my screen time. I set up an automation on my Instagram that locks me out after 15 minutes, reminding me that “time’s up.”

This simple act has been incredibly beneficial in keeping me mindful of my time and intentions.

A Moment of Clarity: Priscilla Shirer’s Insight

One day, while briefly opening Instagram to send a message, I stumbled upon a reel featuring Priscilla Shirer. Her words struck a chord with me:

“We all have a death date, but none of us know when that is. If you’re 20 and you might think you’re pretty young, but your death date is 30, then you’re pretty old. And if you’re 50 and think you’re old but your death date is 100, then you’re pretty young.”

This profound message resonated with me, echoing in my mind repeatedly.

Priscilla continued by asking, “What is your assignment?” She explained that each of us is put on this earth with a purpose, an assignment.

When we reach the end of our lives and face our creator, will we be able to say, “Yes, I did everything I was supposed to do”? Or will we regret the time lost to distractions and social media?

Finding and Fulfilling Your Assignment

This reflection led me to think about my own assignment. In 2016, I realised my calling: to build confidence in others.

However, the journey hasn’t been smooth. I’ve faced distractions and lost my way numerous times.

But each time, I strive to refocus and stay true to my purpose.

If you have a vision of your assignment but lack a roadmap to achieve it, I want to introduce you to someone who has been instrumental in my journey:

Marvin Reid. Marvin is a phenomenal consultant who regularly helps me stay on track.

He offers a boot camp where you can secure your space for free and learn to build your roadmap from where you are to where you want to be.

Stay Focused on Your Purpose

As you reflect on your own life and assignment, ask yourself every day, “Am I fulfilling my assignment?”

This simple question can keep you on track and focused on what truly matters.

Happy Sunday, and here’s to a purposeful week ahead!
