Overcoming Imposter Syndrome: You Deserve Your Success

Do you ever find yourself doubting your accomplishments? Wondering if you really belong in your position at work?

You're not alone this is known as imposter syndrome, a psychological pattern where individuals doubt their skills, talents, or accomplishments. But here's the thing: You deserve to be where you are.

Visualising your success is more than just daydreaming; it’s a powerful exercise that can help you overcome imposter syndrome. I learned this from the book “Maximum Achievement,” offers a process to effective visualisation.

1. See It

First, visualise the end goal—what is it exactly that you want? Paint a vivid picture in your mind to bring clarity to your aspirations.

2. Feel It

Intensify the emotions you’d experience if it was a reality. Immerse yourself in that feeling.

3. Duration

Hold the image and feelings in your mind for as long as possible.

4. Frequency

Consistency is key. Regularly play this “movie” in your mind, as repetition reinforces the vision.
