Have you ever been presented with an opportunity so unexpected that it made you pause? That’s exactly what happened when, out of the blue, I was asked if I’d like to go to Paris for the day. At first, the idea seemed a bit excessive. Paris for just a day? But then, a thrilling thought struck me: Why not?
It’s not about the duration, but the quality of the experience. Imagine savoring a delicious lunch, beholding the majestic Eiffel Tower, and simply enjoying each other’s company. This idea transformed from a fleeting thought into an irresistible plan.
This year, my husband and I have been caught up in a whirlwind of non-stop work. It’s so easy to get trapped in the cycle of work, neglecting to set aside time and resources for non-work-related joys. The thought of breaking this routine for a spontaneous trip to Paris with four of our good friends suddenly seemed not just appealing, but essential.
And so, we said YES. The day in Paris was exactly what we needed. It was a reminder that life is not just about work and routine, but about seizing moments of joy and adventure.
Richard Branson once said, “Say yes first, then figure it out later.” This quote resonates with me now more than ever. It’s a call to embrace spontaneity, to welcome the unknown, and to treasure the experiences that come from saying YES.
Today, my message is simple: Say YES to things that promise spontaneous adventures. Whether it’s a quick getaway or an unexpected invitation, these moments can add extraordinary chapters to our lives.
Let’s not overlook the power of YES - it might just lead to an unforgettable day in Paris, or other wonderful surprises life has in store.
