You Attract Into Your Life What You Focus On

As the season of giving approaches, I’m reminded of a powerful moment from the Oprah Winfrey show that left a lasting impact on me.

Oprah’s enthusiastic declaration, “You get a car, you get a car, everybody gets a car!” not only became a cultural meme but also planted a seed in my mind.

It sparked a desire within me to give, not just during the holidays, but whenever the opportunity presented itself.

Being part of REACH Next Generation has allowed me to fulfill this aspiration in an extraordinary way.

As a speaker, I’ve travelled to numerous football stadiums across the UK, from Sheffield to Manchester, from West Ham to Crystal Palace.

My mission: to empower hundreds of young girls with confidence-building talks.

This year, as the festive season dawned, I was inspired to add a special twist to one of these events. Drawing from Oprah’s iconic moment, I proposed the idea of giving away stars to each young participant.

To my delight, the organisers embraced the idea, fueling my excitement for the event.

The day arrived, and the magic unfolded. As I handed out stars to the girls, their faces lit up with surprise and joy. This experience wasn’t just about giving a gift; it was about offering a symbol of belief and confidence, a tangible reminder of their potential.

Sharing this story with you, I’m reminded of a profound quote by Steve Harvey: “Everything you can hold in your mind, you can have in your hand.”

This idea resonates deeply with me. Dreams and desires might not materialize immediately; they could take years. But the key lies in holding onto them and nurturing them with positive thoughts.
